On the 10th of February, 2010 a wine-tasting competition took place in a framework of the annual specialized PRODEXPO International Exhibition hosted by Expocentre Fairgrounds. 192 companies participated this year, including all leading domestic alcohol beverages producers and foreign companies’ dealers alike. 582 drinks from around the globe, Japan to USA, have been tried and tested.

As a rule, sampling is held a fortnight before the exhibition starts. This allows the judges to take their time and properly evaluate each exhibited sample, its quality and organoleptic property. The committee of judges consists of the best Russian degustators, selected throughout a year.
