On November 28, 2012 in the information centre of RIA Novosti in Moscow, at Zubovsky boulevard All-Russian contest “Russian Journalists against Terror” held with state support of the National Anti-Terror Committee ended.
There was a press-conference dedicated to this hot topic at first, and then there was an awarding ceremony of the best journalists of various mass media – electronic and printed ones. An enhancement of the role of the Russian journalists and journalistic community in fight against the terrorism and its ideology and support of the talented and brave journalists writing on this difficult and dangerous subject was one of the tasks of the contest.
The founders of the contest were the Union of Journalists of Russia, the Union of Journalists of Moscow, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Russian Public Relations Association (RASO). Organizing committee was headed by the Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia – Vsevolod Bogdanov.
Works were submitted and published in Russian mass media during the period from October 01, 2011 up to September 30, 2012. Then jury evaluated them by nine nominations: “Terrorism: Past and Present”; “Terrorism – Threat to National Security”; “Victims of Terror”; “Ideology of Terrorism and Religious Extremism. The Ways to Resist It”; “Fight against the Terror. Real Stories”; “Heroes of Anti-Terror”; “Terrorism – Threat to Islam and Other World Religious”; “Society and Individual against Terror”; “Preventative Measures against Terrorism and Extremism”.
LUDING also awarded prize winners of the contest having presented them the best beverages from portfolio of the company in gift boxes: Kremlin Award Premium Vodka, «Casa Vieja» Añejo (Extra Aged) Mexican Tequila, Dominican Ron Barceló Imperial, Prosecco Dedicato Extra Dry Italian Sparkling Wine.
